Mediation
Mediation is a conflict resolution process in which a neutral third party encourages and helps disputing parties reach a mutually acceptable agreement.
Mediation is a non-adversarial process. Because the focus is on finding a solution and not assigning blame, mediation can be helpful if you have an ongoing relationship with the other party. You get more of a say in the outcome. In litigation, the case is ultimately decided by a judge. In mediation, you and the other disputing party or parties agree on a solution together. Mediation is more flexible. If your needs change or more information becomes available, mediated arrangements can be altered without having to wait on a court date. |
Parenting Coordination
Parenting coordination is a type of dispute resolution intervention that manages a wide range of ongoing issues in high-conflict custody and visitation cases.
The parenting coordinator meets with both parties regularly, receives day-to-day questions or complaints about any aspect of a party's conduct, makes recommendations to the parties, and can help develop a parenting plan. In addition, the parenting coordinator provides education about co-parenting and parental communication, as well as strategies for managing conflict. In general, the parenting coordinator promotes effective post-separation parenting and can help reduce the negative effects of separation on children. The cost of parenting coordination is usually divided between parties. |
Custody Evaluation
Custody Evaluators are neutral examiners who determine the best interests of the child. When parents are unable to resolve issues on their own, child custody evaluations, sometimes known as "best interests" evaluations, are issued to provide the court with recommendations in order to guide the court in its decisions on child custody and visitation.

Conflict Coaching
Conflict coaching can be useful in a variety of circumstances, including conflicts in the workplace, divorce, post-decree situations, community disputes, family disagreements, or business conflicts.
The conflict coach can serve as a confidential listener and help you to see the situation from all perspectives, help you consider options, and help you come up with a plan of action to deal with conflict. |
Ombudsman Services
Ombudsmen serve as independent and impartial parties who help to confidentially resolve conflicts within organizations. They can mediate between organizations and customers or between employees of an organization.
Ombudsmen can improve employee morale, reduce turnover, and save organizations money by preventing unnecessary lawsuits. |
Alternative Dispute Resolution System Design
If your organization needs a better way to handle disputes, an ADR System can be designed to help you manage conflict from beginning to end.
Organizations must be able to respond to conflict—and the underlying issues that cause them—in order to grow and change with the times. With an ADR System in place, your organization will be prepared to handle disputes as they arise without having to spend time on costly litigation. |
